INDDES-ITB Website
To increase the online presence of HMDP INDDES-ITB, a website was needed to establish itself as an organization, as well as serving as a functional tool for its members to become an archive, showcase and contact site for INDDES-ITB and its member's activities.Website Snapshot
The INDDES-ITB website was designed to be user-friendly, including well-structured links, colorful banner splash, and simple navigation. To make the website efficient and accessible to all people interested in industrial design on a global scale, content such as designers images and text of products were hosted using JAMstack architecture to ensure high availability.
Website Prototyping using Figma
The strategy was not only dependent on the architecture of the web but also on how frequently and practically it was being updated. Any updates were then updated in an orderly fashion to ensure that content remained relevant, accurate and complete using Netlify CMS.
Website Framework
Spotify and Medium content are pushed into Gatsby framework, while content publication through Netlify CMS are pushed into GitLab database. Gatsby framework built the static website from GitLab content through Netlify platform which uplink to public internet
JAMstack
Furthermore, for any other projects in the future, the methodology would be easier to achieve as most everything (design, text, images) were already archived in such a coherent manner. The website would not only save INDDES-ITB’s students and alumnis work, but also future programmers time and efforts.
